Purchased a sectional couch from the brick, built by dynasty furniture in Calgary. Paid $4000.00 for this garbage! We live in northern Ontario so the closest brick is 2.5 hrs from us. So here is our story, couch had blemishes upon in packaging it. Called customer service they gave us a rebate. 2 weeks later go to make the bed portion of this couch, while crawling across it a board breaks inside this unit ( I only weigh 170 pds) I'm not a big guy. So we contact the brick to let them know about this and they tell us there's nothing they can do, we explain to them that the couch is only a month old! They proceeded to tell us we're out of luck. FYI we are a older couple and do not have small children jumping or bouncing around on our furniture. So the moral of this story is stay far away from the brick and dynasty furniture out of Calgary.
The Brick – Review
We went shopping on a Saturday to the brick in Kanata. We meet Jose who was fantastic. No pressure to buy. When we decide to buy Jose gave us a great deal. Was so friendly and was a great pleasure to deal with. Pick up the love seat and Nick in the receiving department was fantastic. Was in and out quickly and help me left the love seat into my van. He was friendly and great to deal withI would recommend this location to anyone. Thanks Jose and Nick
I purchased a fridge from the brick, the delivery guys used heavy duty metal dolly to bring the fridge to inside the house. They damaged the hardwood floor (deep scratches), I provided clear photos and video clips showing metal dolly was used for the delivery inside the house & The Brick denied my clime after 2 weeks just by emailing me with no reply email address. The whole process was like a nightmare. Very unprofessional Delivery staff and rude and unfriendly customer service. Very Disappointing experience. Won't buy from the brick again. Buyer be aware.
The brick said I cannot return a bedframe that was sold to me in stores by a salesperson on their website due to the fact there were no appealing options in store to go along with my mattress. When I got the bed it was not as advertised and instead made of terribly cheap wood - not metal as the ad suggested. Then the sales people tried to time me out of the 48 hour window that is not mentioned anywhere to prevent me from being able to get a re-selection! I told them i wanted my money back and they simply told me to go to Better business bureau because they don't do refunds... Pay attention to the overwhelming number of 1 star reviews because those are the real ones... The 5 star reviews are what they ask you to do in store for a discount as was suggested by our sales person. Also see better business bureau and see how many complaints are posted there and you will simply wonder how they are not shut down. It also doesn't help that their CEO is literally someone who "worked" their way from the stock room the the big chair with zero education.
Bought a tv and other things. Delivered Dec 31 2022.Delivery person(s) unpacked tv and plugged in as per protocol. Leaning a 70" tv on the wall and never installed the feet. They leave. Packaging everywhere from other purchases plus the tv packaging we walk infront of tv to retrieve feet and install on tv they left leaning on a wall and tv falls over 15-20 after they leave. Called the brick immediately and they were here in hour or so to pick up tv. They didn't warranty it that day. I asked they pick up the remainder of purchase and 30 days later after numerous calls, stress ect they write to tell me they will not warranty the tv and finally picked up my couch and stove I asked to return 30 days prior! Referring to my purchase of a car that I drove off the lot and crashed! I had not even touched my tv at the time it fell! I touched my tv when I was picking it up off the floor where it fell from the wall they leaned it against!Again they also insisted I go through my home insurance!Picture of tv after I picked it up off my floor!
I have bought the mattress $800 + $100 mattress cover for stains (which bricks offer store 25 warranty for extra 6 months) + $100 Box and $50 (total cost me with taxes $1171.37.The mattress has worst quality the mattress is sagging and the body indentation is more then 2- 3 inches. I have contact brick within a year bricks have directed me a complicated claim process.I have finally after 6 month to completed the process. I have spend one hours all the pictures' receipts submitted Within 1 year of purchase date. After doing this hardship. Trans Global Service a transportation company replied on the behalf of Brick and have refused my claim by saying your mattress got some water stains. We do not cover the warranty if mattress has stain which their stain protects unable the mattress from stain.I have explained everything to claim offer which all online. They don't even bother to come and inspect the mattress.Just said cover and mattress is 2 different manufactures.Mattress manufacture would not cover warranty if the mattress has stain on it.
Today I had the worst after sale experience ever at The Brick "marche centrale". Their employee that is called "cheick" insulted me and told me that I am an "ARAB ANIMAL" because I was angry at the $#*!ty product they sold me and was angry at me for taking a picture of him and wanted to fight me until one of his colleague stepped in.I am shocked that Brick offers such service and hire this kind of employee. At the price we pay at The Brick they should give their employees some training. You can see in the picture the quality of wood they put in the couches.#thebrick #racisme #$#*!y #Boycott
Just got my new couch I ordered delivered and it's ripped in the corner. Call the brick and they informed me to take pictures and email them in and they will get back to me in 48 hours. No concern I was upset about it. No customer service at all. At this point they can just come and pick it up and I will buy from their competitors. Not happy at all.
The company is a joke! They don't honour their insurance, I had a problem with my couch within a year, they send over the "couch doctor" and he sits on my couch, tells me it's probably the foam, doesn't do anything else and he's gone in less in 5 min. The brick says they wouldn't cover it tried saying it wasn't covered. How is not covered when you buy a new couch and within a year the support is gone. They are will rip you off
I had my nieces birthday party last night at brick Street. The service was absolutely amazing. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Thank you Brick Street you really outdid yourself. Thanks guys!!! We really enjoyed ourselves!

Feel free to share yours and thanks for reading my review! I tried to show as many details as I could and I hope it will be helpful for those of you who still don't have one and wanted to learn more about it.
Very good review! Over the last couple of months I've been looking at pictures of it, and now that it's out, and that I saw it in the display at my local LEGO store, I may actually get it! Also, nice usage of Captain Picard and Riker scene when they were on the ship Anyway, thanks for the review! Although I can't help but notice that your Admiral's face looks a bit different than the pictures I've seen, and the picture in the instruction booklet. I have one of those faces too, so I'm not quite sure why yours is a tad different Oh well, he looks a bit more serious anyway.
Thanks for the review, Dreamweb! I only own the Imperial Flagship and the Corsair Ship from LotR and I was thinking of 'finally' getting a typical LEGO Pirate's ship. It's a pity I never got Queen Ann's Revenge, but that's another story.
I'm still doubting because the ship gives me an unimpressive feeling that not just needs a MOD, but a complete MOC overhaul. The one sided trangle sail printing is a shame. Speaking of sails, I thought the material was supposed to be 'Cloth'? At least that's what It says on bricklink, along with the old style sails.
Brilliant review! I share the same feeling in most parts like the emptiness and studshooters that are so out of place. I suppose it's a kid's ship with simplified features and maximum playability so what can you expect?
Thank you for the review. I liked all the pictures, especially the ones you took of the ships features. I waited to order this set until the current double VIP promo and can't wait for it to arrive. I also ordered the Black Seas Barracuda on Bricklink so I'll wait to get them both to build them on the same day.
Concerning the ship itself, I do like it. However, the triangular sail being printed only on one side and the issue with the unclosable gunports are major design flaws in my eyes, too. How this could pass TLG's quality reviews remains a mystery...
Great review, thanks! Your final thoughts echo my own feelings about the ship. It's not a bad ship, but a lot of us simply expected more than 'mediocre'. And why they couldn't have given us colors and sails that stuck out a bit more compared to the last ship is beyond my comprehension.
Thank you for the review. We ordered this for 2x VIP points and hope to see it soon. Fortunately, I emerged from my Dark Ages just in time to snag the Black Pearl. We also have the LOTR pirate ship. This will be our first pirate ship from the Pirates theme. You make some good points that it may not compare to features on other ships, but it will be fun to build it with the boys. I am not particularly crazy about the red bricks, but kids do indeed like color in their sets. Nevertheless, I look forward to building the ship and may consider modding some of the features such as the open door into the cabin and replacing some of the red and blue parts. 2ff7e9595c
