A conventional treatment for a bunion is a bunionectomy, or surgery that removes part of the bulging metatarsal bone and forcibly realigns the joints. This surgery is often followed with prescriptions for orthotic arch supports and highly cushioned shoes that keep feet confined in unnatural positions. While this may result in some pain relief, proponents of natural foot movement argue that the surgery does not confront the source of the issue and may be an extreme solution when other, less invasive options may be available. It is worth noting that bunions can still return after surgery, especially if the conditions that caused them in the first place have not changed.

Comments: They are really comfortable but there is something wrong with the height of the right arch support that makes a spot on my foot feel strange after a couple of hours wearing them. The left shoe is perfect I wish I could say the same for both sides. This doesn't happen to me with other shoes. From: Helwig. February 5th, 2022
Comments: I get these for work. Best shoes I've found for someone on their feet all night. The 7's aren't as comfy as the 6's; they feel a little more snug around the midsole and have less outer sole stability. I roll my feet to the outside something awful, and these will last me about a year. Still, nothing I've found is better. Like walking on little pillowsFrom: Donny the RN. Barboursville, WV November 9th, 2021
Comments: This is my second pair. The Bondi 7 is built better than the Bondi 6, so the fabric doesn't split just above the sole like the 6. Wanted the 4e but they were out. Slightly tight in the forefoot but, 2e is ok. The soles tend to wear out fairly quickly, but I guess that's the trade-off for having such a cushiony shoe. You're not going to run your fastest time trial with these shoes but, if you want a plush daily runner or something to wear all day I would grab these shoes. From: Marc. Houston, TX. From: David. September 2nd, 2021Comments: I bought these as shoes for work - I'm a teacher and on my feet all day - but I wouldn't know it because of these shoes. Like light foamy clouds! From: Jay. Wheeler, OR. August 15th, 2021Comments: Very comfortable and light. The fit was good. I just didn't care for the way it looked on my feet. From: Anonymous. August 11th, 2021Comments: Great shoe on flat, even, hard surface. I tried bringing them to the trails, but the platform, cushioning, caused my ankles to roll. My ankle has rolled probably 5 times on the trails. I Will not use them again on the trails. I have the older Gaviota 3s that are epic on the trails for me (even though they are not for the trails). From: Anonymous. August 10th, 2021Comments: This is my second pair of the BONDI7, my first lasted almost 500 miles before I replaced them I use them on all of my road runs short or long, the cushioning and side stitches are far better then the BONDI 6 line, these shoes are great for anyone who might be on the more heavier side, they are great for long runs so far fo me this year that would be a 18 mile day. HOKA is now the shoe I run outside with. From: David. Detroit, MI. August 9th, 2021Comments: The 2E width was a bit too tight so we switched these for the 4E width. The shoes are amazingly comfortable and have helped a lot with the pain in both of my knees. I love them. From: Ted. Vida, OR. August 5th, 2021Comments: The most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. Had version 6 and when they started to wear thin, I didn't hesitate to order the latest version replacement. They are just as comfortable and look great. From: Charles. Beaufort. July 29th, 2021Comments: The shoes are the best I have ever bought! If you're looking for something better to walk and run in, these are it. Super duper lightweight, cushioning like a cloud. These are on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. From: Wendy. Key West, FL. July 26th, 2021Comments: I loved the Bondi 6 and couldn't wait to try the 7. I think they fit and perform very similarly. The arches were a tad higher in the 6, and I found that uncomfortable so the 7's seem better in that department. Good lockdown in laces keeps my heels from moving. I tried the Cliftons too but they have significantly LESS cushion than Bondi (reviews indicate they are close in cushion but that's not what I found). I'll be 50yrs old this year, weigh 185lbs and run about 20 miles a week, before I found Bondi I ran in Saucony Triumph ISO and Brooks Ghost I always head sore ankles after runs, but NOT with the Bondi's. The tall stack and cushion are totally worth it.From: Anonymous. July 1st, 2021Comments: Great shoe. Telling everyone here at Amazon Fufillment center..ty..God bless OklahomanFrom: Gary. June 21st, 2021Comments: I'm a athlete that enjoys a number of high intensity sports. But, running has seemed to take the lead while everything else has come to be non-existence. I'm 57 and run about 50 to 55 miles per week at 135 pounds. Was using Clifton, but was only able to get 600 miles per shoe out of the 4's and 500 miles out of the 5's. I needed to get more miles out of the shoe for the cost. I switched and purchased a pair Bondi 6's. I got 900 plus miles out of this shoe. For 20 extra dollars, I think that's a great deal. I ended up purchasing 4 extra pairs of the 6's. So far I'm still getting 900 plus miles per shoe. After they hit 920 mile mark I use them as every day walking shoes. During the 1 to 900 mile time frame, I only use them for running. Nothing else. Getting ready to restock my inventory with Bondi 7's. Father's day is here, I will purchase the 7's hoping the get the same milage. Yes, I tried Brooks Ghost 10's; only got 330 miles per shoe. I purchased 3 or 4 pairs. Also tried Asic. End up giving them away to my son. Bondi is the way to go. DO NOT CHANGE A THING.From: Saint Louis, MO. June 18th, 2021Comments: After around 400 miles, I am still loving my Bondi 7s. Im 61/ 170lbs. I usually run 40-50 miles per week and these shoes are pretty much every run. They also have a 50 mile ultra on them. I dont feel like theyve lost life at all. The lockdown over the mid-foot is fantastic and the shoe never feels clunky. While shoes like the Clifton are great out of the box, they seem to flatten around mile 300 for me. I have no idea when my Bondis will do the same but so far there is no end in sight. To me, that warrants the higher price tag. They have performed well over a variety of surfaces in a variety of conditions. I would highly recommend. My only two knocks would be the shoe is a bit on the warm side on hot days and the color schemes often look like they came out of a nursing home. Also, Hokas cushioning softness/firmness seems to vary to a greater deal with the weather than other shoes. Cold days they are rock hard and warm days they are squishy. Thats pretty much all models though. Again, while I ended on a negative note, I would highly recommend this shoe for those looking to go the distance, looking for durability and perhaps looking to give nagging pains and issues a better rest from the pounding. (For reference, on the trail I like the Speedgoat series.)From: Anonymous. June 18th, 2021Comments: I walk about 5 miles every day and these are the best for my joints. I started with Bondi 5s and bought them ever since, the 7s are the best so far. From: Anonymous. June 10th, 2021Comments: I'm on my feet for 8 hours straight at work and the name brand shoes I was wearing, at the end of the night, my feet would be killing me. I went to the HOKA website and took their questionnaire to see what shoes would be best for me and the Bondi7 was the shoe. It took a few days to get used to the height difference but once I did, man, these shoes are plush. They almost like wearing memory foam pillows on my feet, I don't feel the jarring of every step like I did wearing the other shows. HOKA's color selection isn't the nicest, but they sure are comfortable. From: Jon. June 9th, 2021Comments: Thank you RW for this wonderful shoe. Tried other Hoka One shoes but this one is the best for 130 lb. 5'9" me. Love the fit and comfort and bounce. I have several pairs of Bondi 7's and 6's from past years. I run 15 miles a week and walk another 5 in these shoes. From: Anonymous. May 27th, 2021Comments:I purchased these for my husband. He was very pleased with the purchase. Love this shoe for long easy days running and as my wear at school shoe to keep the legs happy during all those hours with the kids. Great fit, great cushion, great shoe periodFrom: S. WI. May 21st, 2021Comments: Extra cushioning is great for jogging on pavement. At 76 years and still jogging, they are much easier on my knees and hips. I also like the extra large hell loop. This is my second pair, first lasted about 9 months of jogging on average 6 days a week and between 2 and 3 miles/day. First pair did have softer sole material which wore down on the heels, these new ones seem to have a slightly better sole material. From: Marty. Green Bay, WI. Roopville, GA May 13th 2021Comments: I am 80 years old and have been wearing the Hoka Bondi for at least 5 years. My goal is to walk 90 to 120 minutes per day, 7 days a week. And almost all of those miles is on asphalt county roads. The Bondi model provides an easy, comfortable ride every day. Before I switched to the Bondi, I tried several different brands, including a cheaper Hoka model. Fortunately, by that time, I was buying my shoes from Running Warehouse and I was able to return that model at no cost to me. Running Warehouse is a CLASS organization. I recently called them for advice about the width of shoes I needed and the person I talked with was very helpful. He reminded me that if the wider width did not work out, I could return the shoes - no questions asked. By the way, the shoes worked out just fine. From: Hal. OK. May 8th 2021Comments: As a senior citizen I was looking for very comfortable shoes with good cushioning. We walk 2 miles every day on asphalt roads and the comfort of these shoes is great!. I definitely recommend the HOKA Bondi 7 and would definitely repeat the purchase. By the way, The Running Warehouse had good communication and quick delivery. Lastly, the shoes are on the expensive side, but at 74 years old, comfort beats price for me.From: Bill. NC May 3rd 2021Comments: I love my Hoka Bondi 7! Im on my 6th pair of Bondi's. I have a wide foot, and when I heard the new version comes in an extra wide, I ordered them. Didn't notice any difference in the 7 extra wide and the 6 wide. Still a nice shoe and very comfortable. I'm sure all shoe makers have their reasons for limiting the choices of their extra wide shoes, but it stinks for those with wide feet. From: Anonymous. I've been wearing these shoes for a couple months now and am having no pain from my knee. Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I absolutely love these shoes, and thanks to Running Warehouse, I got them at a great price. From: Cedric, Cumming. March 23rd 2021Comments: The HOKA Bondi is a great shoe, but does not work for me. Don't think this is any fault of the shoe. My left ankle rolls just enough to cause my foot to contact the top of the TPU band, above the midsole, of the shoe making my left arch hurt. Only occurs when I walk not while running. Tried the 2E version with no success. If I could use them this and the Clifton would be my running shoes of choice. I have used all the major brands and my favorite shoes have been all the Asics DS Trainers and Mizuno Wave Riders. I tried the first Hoka Clifton's and the Bondi B when Hoka first came out and I thought they were ok, but nothing like the materials and fit of the current hoka lineup. I don't run anymore because of a right knee cartilage issue, but I walk a lot for exercise and the fit ,feel and support of my knees with the Bondi 7 is like no other shoe I have used. Even though it is a big shoe it is relatively light for the amount of cushion and support they provide. Great Job Hoka !From: Bruce Sarasota, FL. I had gotten these to try because my reebok dm6i are to hard to wear for walking after all my leg injuries. I originally gotten these for walking & decided to use these strictly for inside. My leg leg was blown off & reattached than that leg was rebroken. The Achilles tendon was severed, crushed heal & broken the big toe a few times. That was just the left leg & damaging the right foot a few times. These have reduced the pain in my knees & realign my spine once they are put on. There is plenty of cushion thought the shoe & installed Currex inserts to add stability.. As of now I will be buying more hokas in the very near future. I haven't found any cons in these.
